Family Memories Await at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis, MA

Thank you Cape Codder for hosting our family during our stay.

The Cape Codder Resort

Living in New Jersey, gives us access to so many gorgeous places up and down the East Coast to visit. Our latest road trip took us to beautiful Hyannis, MA for a little mid-week staycation. We stayed with our travel partner, The Cape Codder Resort for our getaway and had an amazing time. I was initially drawn to the Cape Codder for its prime location as well as the waterpark on site – the Cape Codder Waterpark. With a toddler and a tween, I can never go wrong with a hotel that has a waterpark right on site!

They both love the water and having that right at our hotel makes for a great vacation.

The Cape Codder Resort

If I had to give my opinion of the hotel in just a few words I’d say it’s fun, family-friendly, with a laid-back attitute. We checked in and we’re directed to our room at the resort. We could walk to our room through the resort but since we had a car with us, we drove around to our side of the building to park. There is plenty of parking all around the hotel and finding a spot right by our building’s entrance was easy. It also was conventient for when we wanted to leave the resort to go exploring through town.

The kids quickly made themselves at home in our room. We stayed in the Family Suite which was not only decorated in a beuatiful blue ocean theme but offered plenty of space for the kids and both my husband and I.

The Cape Codder Resort

The Family Suite can sleep up to 6 guests. There is a large sectional queen sized pull-out sofa bed that my son immeditaely claimed alond with a  dining area that converts into a queen size Murphy bed.

The Cape Codder Resort

Evie watched us convert this to a bed and thrilled. She jumped in and didn’t want to get out.

The Cape Codder Resort

When it’s not a bed, it’s a table for 4 inside a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave and refrigerator combo.

The Cape Codder Resort

There are two bathrooms, which is a lifesaver when traveling. No waiting for someone to finish up and it cuts the getting ready time in half. One was located when you entered the room, the second was off the master bedroom.

The Cape Codder Resort

The master bedroom offered an extremely comfortable king sized bed, tv, vanity, large closet and a master bathroom iwth his and her sinks and a tiled shower stall.

All rooms at the Cape Codder offer families:

  • Wireless internet access and dataport for your own laptop
  • Individual climate control
  • coffee maker
  • mircowave
  • Refrigerator
  • Hair dryer, iron and ironing board
  • Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities
  • Monday – Saturday, same day dry cleaning service if you need it

The Cape Codder Resort

Our room had a prime view of the water park. Literally right outside our window but due sound-proof glass we could barely hear a sound come from the park. So no worries of screaming kids or loud noises to keep your little ones awake a nap time.

The Cape Codder Resort

Speaking of the water park, The Cape Codder Water Park is located right onsite, in addition to a outdoor pool. The kids would have happily spent the entire trip at the water park. There’s a 3o00 ft. stormy river with waterfalls, rapids and a spoutting humpback whale. High speed water slides and a wave pool with two foot waves, water fountains and a water umbrella that my little one loved!

The Cape Codder Resort

The 30,000 square foot indoor/outdoor water park offered plenty of fun for the whole family and about a dozen reasons why you don’t ever have to leave the resort for fun.

The Cape Codder Resort

Pirate Bay is the kiddie spray pool with a dumping bucket, small water slides perfect for little ones and water canons.

During our stay, we enjoyed a few meals at the Hearth ‘n Kettle Restaurant. From friendly staff to delicious food, we found ourselves eating several meals here.

Then there’s always the option of room service. Sometimes it’s nice to have breakfast delivered right to your room

Whenever I can find a restaurant that everyone finds something they like, doesn’t complain and eat most, if not all of their dinner, then I’m going back again. And again. And again.

If you’re looking for a little relaxtion or time to yourself, let me recommned The Beach Plum Spa. Located right at the resort is a full service spa providing services for men, women and children. They offer day and overnight spa packages and can customize a package to meet your specific needs.

Each member of their professional staff is licensed and continually trained in the most advanced spa methods and is committed to pampering our guests. The Spa is open to the public and you don’t need to be a guest of the Resort to enjoy the spa but it’s a great added benefit to guests staying at the resort.

The resort also offers a whole slew of kids activities like this DIY paracord bracelet program. Be sure to pick up an events calendar when you check in to get the full schedule for movies and activities while you are there.

The Cape Codder Resort

There’s even an outdoor movie theater set up to enjoy some of your favorite movies under the stars.

Overall we all enjoyed our stay at The Cape Codder Resort in Hyannia, Massachusetts. I highly recommned this resort for families, couples looking for an adult only getaway or even multi-generational travel.

I hate to admit it, but I've never been to Massachusetts. But that water slide helps move it up my to-do list!
