This post is in partnership with Hershey, PA. All opinions are my own. Thank you Hershey for hosting my family.
Whenever I used to think of Hershey, PA, I would picture an amusement park. Even after living only two hours away my entire life, I’ve only ever been to Hershey Park a handful of times and only for the amusement park. Last year we went with both kids and had so much fun at the amusement park that we didn’t have much time to do anything else. It wasn’t until I started to read about other things to do in the area did I learn that there was so much more to Hershey than just rides and rollercoasters. There’s a zoo, beautiful gardens, delicious food and so much more just waiting to be explored. Last week we had the chance to visit for a few days and explore the beauty that is Hershey at Christmas. …

It’s official, The Mirage, Sahara Sam’s newest expansion is finally opened and we were invited to check it out at the grand opening yesterday before it opened to the public. The Mirage is the new 10,oo0 square foot addition to the existing water park. It’s features a family leisure pool and two addition water slides for more family fun. It officially opens to the public today, May 27th to kick off Memorial Day Weekend. This weekend also marks the opening of the Beach Club area as well.
If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you may have seen my photos from Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor & Outdoor Water Park last week. They held a media night and invited some local bloggers out for a night of fun and to check out their expansion project. Believe it or not, this was my family’s first time to Sahara Sam’s Oasis and even though I heard great things, I was eager to check it out for myself.
To say we had fun would be an understatement. There is so much to do for little and big kids. There’s a wave rider, kiddie pool, lazy lagoon to float around in, a basketball pool and a splash zone I even had fun in! Not to mention the entire outdoor swim area which isn’t even open yet.
Now they’re getting even bigger! The 10,000 square-foot expansion is underway and set to open Memorial Day weekend. The expansion, called The Mirage, will have an Egyptian theme to it and will hold another more relaxing indoor pool as well as two more racing slides. We can’t wait to see it when it’s all done.
Once we had our tour, we had a chance to try out some of the food and some free time to play in the park. We had so much fun neither one of my kids wanted to leave.
I knew the little one would love it because she loves water. As soon as we walked in and saw the TIM-BUK-TU Tree Fort splash zone, her face lit up. She loved it and ran around in circles under the water.
Getting her out of the Lizard Lagoon kiddie pool proved to be tough. She loved seeing other little kids her size and splashing around with them.
My son is a water bug just like her and had made some new friends in the basketball pool and enjoyed floating around in the inner tubes.
Tonight we’re heading out to Sahara Sam’s Oasis Indoor & Outdoor Waterpark for a fun media event.
