One of my favorite ways to spend some “me time” is the few minutes a week I get to play with my craft supplies. I love creating things and DIY projects but with two kids, it doesn’t happen as much as I’d like. I own both a Silhouette and Cricut machine and have only used them both a handful of times. They’re great when I’m working on projects like this DIY Minnie Mouse shirt I made for my daughter. I really need to challenge myself to make more time to use them. In fact, I had so much fun making this shirt, that I think I’m going to turn this into a weekly series! Until then, I’m excited to show you just how easy it is to make your own shirts or crafts using vinyl from Pro World Inc. When they said they wanted to send me over some samples to try, I figured now was as good as a time than ever to give it a shot!
Truthfully, I’ve been a little intimidated by vinyl. I always see my friends creating these fun projects and after one unsuccessful try with a terrible vinyl, I swore I wasn’t going to try again any time soon.
I saw some friends rave about Pro World so I thought I’d give it a try.
Working with the vinyl was so easy and I literally made this shirt in under 15 minutes. I just love how it turned out.
I created the Minnie Mouse head using my Cricut and Disney Friends cartridge. It cut the vinyl perfectly.
Next I positioned the pieces on the shirt where I wanted them to be and used my iron to press them on.
Once the head shape was on, I attached the bow. After holding about 20-25 seconds of pressure and heat on the designs, they bonded perfectly.
I was so surprised at how easy it was to make and am already working on several other fun designs to share with you.
After using a good, quality vinyl like the ones I received from Pro World, I finally see why these projects become so addicting!
I hope you loved this project as she loves her new Minnie Mouse shirt and stay tuned for more fun projects using Pro World vinyl.
