Sausage and Spinach Stuffed Shells Recipe

Serves: 24 shells
These sausage and spinach stuffed shells are delicious and full of flavor.
  • 4 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese + ½ cup for topping
  • 16 oz. ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 jars pasta sauce (any flavor or marinara sauce)
  • 1 lb. sausage (hot and sweet)
  • 8 basil leaves chopped
  • 1 box of pasta shells
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach (chopped)
  1. Remove sausage from casing and cut into bite sized pieces and cook until no longer pink
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. When done, remove and drain.
  3. In a large bowl combine egg, chopped spinach, ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan cheese with garlic and basil
  4. Gently mix together.
  5. Add in sausage and combine.
  6. Stuff pasta shells with the cheese and sausage mixture
  7. Cover bottom of baking pan with tomato sauce
  8. Gently place stuffed shells in the pan
  9. Cover with remaining sauce and cheese
  10. Bake at 350ยบ for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and heated through.
