This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
This past weekend I was quickly reminded how quickly the seasons can change and temperatures can drop, and quickly go back up, on any given day. We started the weekend with cool weather so it was time for me to break out my jeans and lightweight sweaters but by Sunday, we were in shorts again. Crazy weather. With the cooler weather, I realized it was time to update my little one’s fall wardrobe so she had some things for these cooler days well. Nothing fits her from last year, heck my clothes barely fit from last year, so it was time for a fall wardrobe update. That brings me to my next question. What exactly does she need for fall?
I made a list of some of the basics for her wardrobe. I made sure to include bodysuits (they’re so versatile), pants, tops and a few dressier outfits. Then we headed out to Carter’s to see the latest looks for fall and pick up what we needed. Whether you’re shopping for a boy or girl, it’s easy to build the perfect fall wardrobe at Carter’s.
Since she’s my second child, I knew exactly what to look for when I went. I remember how clueless I was with my first one when it came time to shop for clothes. As a first time mommy, I wanted all the cute outfits with matching accessories not really thinking about how practical they were. Most of them sat in his closet with the tags on them. Once I was home with a tiny human to take care of, I grabbed the cute and practical outfits that lined his closet like his Carter’s bodysuits and zip up footed pajamas. They were my favorite.
So this time around, I knew exactly what I wanted when it came to her wardrobe. I shopped practical and built up her wardrobe with a collection of cute pieces that she’ll actually wear and not sit in a dresser drawer.
5 Fall Must Have Outfits for Babies & Toddlers
- Carter’s Original Bodysuits – 3-4 (you can never have enough of these)
- Pants 2-3 pairs – I prefer leggings since they’re soft and comfortable
- Zip or Snap Up Footed Pajamas 3-4 – perfect for bedtime
- Coordinating Outfits Set (1-2) – for days you wan’t something a little dressier
- Comfy shoes or boots
MOM TIP: Pick outfits in coordinating colors and you can mix and match them for even more looks.
Carter’s has been my go-to store since both of my kids were little. Both of my babies lived in their bodysuits and footed pajamas especially in the early months. The Carter’s original bodysuit is still a staple in my little one’s wardrobe right now. They take her from sleep to playtime and if we’re headed out all I have to add is a cute skirt or tutu overtop for a complete look. It’s the one baby product I recommend to everyone.
