My daughter is obsessed, O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with PJ Masks. The show is on repeat all day long. If we leave the house, her Gekko action figure needs to come with her. Her birthday is in a few weeks and I had all these grandiose plans for a mermaid or unicorn party for her but nope. All she wants is PJ Masks party. So to celebrate the release of her favorite show ever and the release of the PJ Masks Time to Be a Hero DVD, I whipped up Gekko’s Green Smoothie recipe for her.
She already loves smoothies and green smoothies are favorite of hers. I love how easy they are to make and you can get creative with flavors and ingredients for a wide variety of flavors. It’s a great way to get your kids to eat their greens because they taste SO good. Trust me, they really do.
This simple green smoothie uses pineapple, pineapple juice, fresh spinach and a banana. I typically use frozen pineapple but since I was all out, I used canned pineapple and some ice in place of the frozen pineapple.
In a blender, add in the ingredients and blend until smooth. Super simple and oh so delicious. Even my picky eater asks for one of these just about every day.
I whipped this up the other morning while we watched the PJ MASKS: TIME TO BE A HERO DVD (available now)
By day, six-year-olds Connor, Amaya and Greg go to school like everyone else. But when they put on their pajamas and activate their animal amulets, they magically transform into their dynamic superhero alter egos and become the PJ Masks: Catboy, super-fast and agile; Gekko, super strong and able to scale walls; and Owlette, with the power to fly and see great distances. In each episode, the three heroes embark on exciting adventures and work together to solve mysteries and learn valuable lessons along the way.
