With only a few weeks to go until school is officially back in session, I’m busy cramming all the fun I can into these last few weeks of Summer. We’ve had a busy summer and the upcoming school year looks to be even busier So while we can, squeezing fun road trips, places to see and even a few days of doing nothing but swimming in the pool is topping my list right now. No matter where we’re headed or what we’re doing, I know I can hit the road with confidence thanks to Depend®.
This year, as the kids head back to school and begin their new year, I’m beginning a new year for myself and taking care of me. I’m carving out time in my already busy schedule to make me a priority. I want to focus on being the best me I can be and that includes making my health and wellness a priority. That’s why I’m thrilled to be partnering with Depend® to bring awareness to something most people don’t want to talk about – bladder leakage.
I’m great about taking care of everyone else. The baby needs something, I’m on it. The teen needs help, I’m on it. My husband needs help, you guessed it, I’m on it. But when it comes it me, I’m not so great at taking care of things. I tend to focus on everyone else and put me last.
Did you know nearly 65 million Americans expereince some form of bladder leakage. Let that number sink in a minute. Chances are you know someone who is suffering silenty with bladder leakage. But I’m here to tell you bladder leaakge doesn’t have to get in the way of you living a confident, uninterrupted life.
Trust me, I know, I’m one of those 65 million Americans. Having two babies naturally can do that to you and occasionally I suffer from light bladder leakage. When it first happened during my second pregnancy, I was embarrassed but then I realized how many of my friends and people I knew suffer from the same thing. It’s just part of being a woman and sometimes it comes with the territory.
Pregnancy and childbirth did a number on my body, especially the second time around but I’ve learned it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It’s part of who I am and I wouldn’t change it for the world but I am thankful for Depend® products.
Especially when we’re hitting the road like our upcoming road trip to Cape Cod. I don’t have to worry if we can’t find a rest stop or bathroom nearby in time. It gives me extra piece of mind when we hit the road. There’s already so much to worry about on road trips, this is at least one thing I can stop worrying about.
