Does your family have that one recipe that everyone just loves but you dread making it because of the mess it leaves behind? I’m talking bowls and pans everywhere, baked on food stains and dirty dishes piled to the ceiling. My family does and it’s my sausage & spinach stuffed shells. They are amazingly delicious.  Full of sausage and cheesy goodness in every shell. We enjoy every delectable bite but the process that goes into making them is a messy one to say the least. Clean up is not something I look forward to when it comes to making these. Well that changed this weekend when I found a new secret weapon.

See that pretty aqua dish cloth right there? That little baby is what made my usual task of spending way to long in the kitchen scrubbing pans and dishes into something I don’t dread anymore. For me, I think the baked on sauce and cheese the worst part of clean up. That’s why I’m so excited about my new dish cloths. They are the perfect tool for removing tough, baked on stains but the fun colors even fit with my decor.

scotch-brite-towelsI’ve been known to leave that poor pan sit and soak in the sink for days because it’s so darn hard to clean. These new Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths combine the best of a high quality dish cloth with the power of Scotch-Brite® scrubbing dots for a quicker and easier clean. One side of the cloth is a high quality fiber dish cloth and the other side has the Scotch-Brite® scrubbing dots that give you plenty of scrubbing power and make it quicker and easier to clean. That baked on cheese and sauce didn’t stand a chance against those scrubbing dots.

Well I don’t have to hide from baked on messes or any big mess anymore thanks to my new dish cloths. Not only do they look pretty but they come in an assortment of colors like gray, mint, coral and navy to match any kitchen decor. They’re available in a two pack and are $4.99 a pack at Target. Plus they’re fully washable, reusable and sturdy enough to clean even the toughest mess.

These scrubbing dish cloths are seriously my lifesaver. Cleaning up these baked on stains and every other bowl that went into prep work was so easy and left my pans looking clean and bright. Look at the pan I used to cook the sausage. It was full of baked on grease and food.

A little soap on my new Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths and I’m not afraid to do the dishes. Cooked on stains are not a match for these dish cloths and I couldn’t believe how easy they made clean up. You don’t have to worry about scratches either. These Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloths scrub but don’t scratch the surfaces.

Now let’s talk about how to make these delicious stuffed shells. These are one of my favorite comfort foods. I love cheese and there’s plenty of cheesy goodness in this recipe.

sausage-and-spinach-stuffed-shellsI also like to use sweet and hot sausage. The flavors complement each other perfectly but if you’re not a fan of spicy sausage, just stick with the sweet.

Serve with a simple side salad and some fresh baked bread and you’ll have a delicious dinner the whole family will love.

To help make sure I always have these handy when I need them, I created a little jar to hold them at my sink.

With a little vinyl lettering to dress it up a bit, having these handy will help me tackle my biggest kitchen messes.

I used my Silhouette machine but you could always use stickers to decorate a jar. I cut out the word “clean” and attached it to a clear glass jar.

I folded the dish cloths and keep the jar right at my sink so I can just grab now when I need it.

Sorry. I should have been a little clearer on this. I always call it tomato sauce but I use two jars of regular spaghetti sauce or marinara would work fine. I typically make it with whatever flavor I have on hand.
