When I found out I was having a little girl some of the first things I started buying were hair bows and hair accessories. In my mind, I thought as soon as her hair was long enough, I’d create all these fun hair styles with cute bows and barrettes. Little did I know what I was in for. Taking care of Evie’s hair and coming up with hairstyles for her is a pretty big challenge. Her hair right now is blonde and thin, just like mine was when I was a baby. As I got older my hair gradually started turning darker like it is now. My husband’s hair was the same. He’s the light haired/green eyed Puerto Rican on his side so it’s no surprise her hair is taking after both of us when we were little. Managing her hair is another story. A few weeks ago, I found HUSH by SoCozy and her hair woes are no more.
I didn’t realize the challenges that come with fine hair, like waking up to a head full of tangles no matter how she falls asleep. It always seems like she has some kind of hair issue. When she was a baby, she had cradle crap and while most of it cleared up, she still has a sensitive scalp and I’ve noticed that it gets dry and flaky in spots. I’ve struggled with finding the right products for her to use and keep her hair healthy and easy to manage.
So I couldn’t wait to try SoCozy’s new collection called HUSH. It’s dermatologist and allergy tested to treat sensitive scalp. The Hush collection includes:
- Hush Sensitive Serum
- Hush Sensitive Styling Foam
- Hush Sensitive 2 in 1 Soothing Shampoo & Conditioner
- Hush Sensitive Detangler
I picked up all four and started her on a new 2-step hair care regimen.
STEP 1: At night, I wash her hair with the 2in1 soothing shampoo and conditioner. The soft massaging brush is great to gently scrub your little one’s scalp. Next I towel dry her hair so it’s not dripping wet. Then I brush any tangles out using the HUSH detangling spray if needed. I’ll apply a little of the sensitive scalp serum directly to her scalp and massage it in. Then I’ll pull her hair back into a pony tail or bun to sleep in.
STEP 2: In the morning, I’ll use the sensitive detangled to help remove any tangles that developed overnight. If we’re going out or I’m styling her hair for the day, I’ll add a little of the sensitive styling foam to help give her curls some bounce.
That’s it! Super easy.
After using the products for a few weeks, I have to say I’m in love with them! Not only have they made her hair more manageable but it’s even cleared up the flaky spots on her scalp. I really love the massaging brush on the soothing shampoo and conditioner bottle. It really helped me gently scrub her scalp while shampooing to help get rid of those stubborn flakes. There was one spot, right in the front by her hairline that was noticeable when she wore her hair pulled back like this. Now it’s completely gone!
SoCozy HUSH has the same clean, healthy and non-toxic formula that you expect from the SoCozy brand now for sensitive scalps.
To make bath time more manageable and quicker, I put together a little hair kit for her. This way all her products are in one spot and I know where to look for everything. I keep her SoCozy HUSH products, a squirt bottle for hair styles, her brush and plenty of hair ties and barrettes. Now that there’s two of us with long hair in the house, I’m loosing twice as many hair ties so at least hers are all in one place!
Unlike other SoCozy products you’ve seen in stores, the HUSH by SoCozy products can be found on the baby aisle in Target. Be sure to look for them the next time you’re in there and let me know what you think! I think you’ll love them as much as we do!
