Celebrate the opening of Toy Story Land at home with this easy to make Toy Story Alien popcorn recipe.
Toy Story Land is officially open and judging by the photos I’ve seen, it looks just as epic as I expected it to be. From the delicious food options at Woody’s Lunch Box to the rides, I cannot wait for our next trip to Disney World to experience Toy Story Land in person. I already love Toy Story Mania but I’m really looking forward to Slinky Dog Dash and the Alien Swirling Saucers. I mean, what’s not to love about those little green guys. While we wait (not-so-patiently) to experience it in person, we’ve been enjoying the Toy Story movies on repeat almost daily. To make those movie nights a little more fun, I whipped up this easy recipe for Toy Story Alien Popcorn inspired by Toy Story Land and the Alien Swiling Saucers ride.
When I say this recipe is easy, trust me, it’s super easy and would make a great addition to a Toy Story Party or movie night like we had or anytime you just want to celebrate your inner kid.
You’ll need a few things to get you started like popcorn, candy eyes, bright green candy melts and wilton tip #1, candy bags and your imagination.
First, you’ll melt your chocolate into a bowl according to the package directions.
Set aside 1/2 cup of the chocolate. Pour the remaining chocolate over your popcorn and stir to coat. Take your time and stir slowly so you don’t have sticky popcorn flying everywhere.
Pour the chocolate coated popcorn onto a foil lined cookie sheet and spread it out. Set it in the fridge for a few minutes to speed up the drying time.
While that is setting, pour the remaining chocolate into a pastry bag fitted with a #1 tip. Pipe the chocolate onto wax paper (or a freezer bag cut in half if you’re out like I was) into the shape of the Toy Story Alien head. Place three small candy eyes in the center and repeat to make at least 10-15 candy pieces. Obviously, depending on what you’re using this for, you might want to make more.
Place these in fridge to set and remove popcorn.
Break the popcorn up into pieces and fill bowl or popcorn boxes. Then drizzle tops with a little more melted chocolate so the Toy Story Alien candies will set on top without falling off.
That it! A Super cute Toy Story Alien snack that even Andy would approve of!
