It’s hard to believe that 2014 is almost over. With just a few short weeks left in the year, I find myself looking back on just how quick this year went. Granted for most of the year I was pregnant and sick with terrible morning sickness that I thought would never end. But sure enough, 9 months later, it did end and I have this beautiful little baby to be thankful for. After all these years, I never thought I would, or could, get pregnant again. I had long ago given up on the thought of a sibling for my son. After a miscarriage and years of trying, I had resolved to the fact that we would forever be a family of three.
Then life stepped in. The one thing I thought would never happen, finally did. So I’m thankful for all that 2014 has brought me. It may have been a rough few months, who am I kidding, those months being pregnant were horrible for me but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every time I look at this beautiful little girl, I’m reminded of just how much life can surprise us and how truly lucky I am.
I’m also thankful for being a Tommee Mommee. When I found out I was pregnant I had to start all over with baby gear. Let me tell you how different things are now compared to ten years ago. Things I used with my son aren’t the “best” anymore. So I had to start from scratch. Researching what products I would register for and learning from other moms what they like. I heard wonderful things about Tommee Tippee from other moms but I know from experience what works for one baby may not work for another. My son went through bottle after bottle trying to find one that worked for him.
When I had the opportunity become a Tommee Mommee, I thought it would be a great way for me to learn more about the brand and hopefully Baby E would love their products. As luck would have it, she really is a Tommee Babee. She has never had a problem using these bottles and they are easy for her to latch onto. She doesn’t experience any of the gas or fussiness my son did on different bottles and she loves her Tommee Tippee pacifiers. So I’m thankful for a company that has made a wonderful product for my daughter and makes feeding a breeze.
Having a 2 month old and a 10 year old does have it’s challenges. Like trying to get a baby fed in the morning and my son ready for school, when he is NOT a morning person. Or running in different directions because he has an event but the baby is still napping. I wouldn’t change any of these challenges for anything in the world but I am glad I have things to make my life easier. Tommee Tippee’s Bottle Sterilizer was one of the best products I registered for. It has a fast 5 minute cycle that makes it easy for me sterilizer her bottles. I can load and simply press the button and five minutes later BOOM! her bottles are sterilized and will stay that way for 24 hours as long as the lid stays closed.
Just the other day I was out picking up more baby bottles and supplies when I ran into an expectant mom on the bottle aisle. She was clearly at a loss on which she should register for so she approached me to ask for some advice. I’d gladly told her about my experience with Tommee Tippee and how well Baby E does with them. We talked about feeding challenges and how happy I am with these bottles. I happened to be in the right place at the right time to help out a fellow new mom which I really enjoyed.
How about you? What was your best moment in 2014?
