Indigo Short Hills Mall

Last week I had a chance to visit Indigo open now inside Short Hills Mall right here in New Jersey. If you’re never heard of Indigo, you’re probably not alone. While Indigo is Canada’s BIGGEST Bookstore, it’s brand new to the U.S. The first ever U.S. based store is officially open in Short Hills Mall and I’ll be the first to tell you, it does not disappoint! The thing I loved most was that it’s not your average bookstore, it’s so much more. Indigo features a shop within a shop concept offering a unique array of products for women, men, the home, baby, kids, and books.

5 Reasons You’ll Love Shopping Indigo

Inside the 30,000 sq. ft. store you’ll find everything from amazing gift ideas to books for everyone in the family, a fun and engaging kids department, a wellness section and even a cafe. Designed to be a destination the whole family can enjoy together, Indigo at The Mall at Short Hills is unlike anything else you’ve shopped at.

The store was designed with the shopper in a mind. Not only does is it a one stop shop for gifts for anyone on your list, but it’s the perfect place to spend a leisurely day with the family or friends.

Tables are located throughout for you to sit and read through your books or purchases. A cafe right inside the store lets you grab a drink or snack while you shop. There’s even a gift wrap section that can wrap your gifts before your even leave the store.

Aside from an amazing selection of books, Indigo offers items for the home, kids, baby and more. Most of the items you’ll find in the store are exclusive to Indigo as they have their own in-house design studio. So, when you shop for a gift for yourself or someone else, you’re giving a gift that is unique they won’t find anywhere else.

New items and designs rotate throughout the store about every three months.

There’s an IndigoKids department that not only offers a magical shopping experience for the little ones but makes it easy for you when you need to pop in and grab a last-minute gift for that birthday party this weekend that you completely forgot about!

You can grab the gift, head over to the stationery department for a card and they’ll even wrap it while you wait!

For new parents, the baby section offers books for a baby’s first library, newborn essentials and plenty of other unique gift ideas that are sure to put a smile on any parent’s face.

In addition to providing a unique shopping experience, Indigo also offers fun in-store events like story time for the kids, cooking demos, author meet and greets and so much more.

Being that I spend so much time in the kitchen, I was immediately drawn to the kitchen area. I immediately picked up numerous cookbooks that I couldn’t wait to add to my collection but beautiful serve ware that would make for an amazing holiday table scape.

The gorgeously styled dining table showcased some of Indigo’s serve ware collection while the other side of the room offered beautiful accessories and plenty

I can’t get enough of the black stoneware and serving pieces. I see a mini-kitchen makeover happening soon just in time for the holidays. How gorgeous would black pieces look with red and green holiday accents look?!
I can’t get enough of this store and cannot wait to go back and shop for some holiday items. In fact, I think Indigo may just be my one-stop holiday shop this year. With so many unique items under one room, I truly can find something for everyone on my list.
