With all the fun activities like apple picking, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, etc., it’s no wonder Fall is my favorite season. For me, it’s the unofficial kick off to all things holiday. It’s the time of year that really kicks off our “busy” season and it seems that just about every weekend, we’re out and about doing something fun for the kids. But if I’m being completely honest, I have just as much fun as they do. It’s a chance to let loose and feel like a kid again. My favorite thing to do is run ahead in the corn maze and hide until my husband comes along. Then I jump out and scare him. It’s become a tradition and you think he’d be used to it by now, but I seem to get him every year. Since the weather this time of year is unpredictable, I’m sharing some of my favorite ideas to be comfortable and fashionable this Fall.
There are so many Fall activities that are must-do’s for us. Some of the things that top my list are:
- Apple picking
- Pumpkin picking
- Popcorn picking
- Corn mazes
- Haunted Hayrides
- Nature Walks
- Fall Fishing
These are just a few of the things we love to do every Fall. Every year it seems we find something else to add to the list and it keeps us pretty busy. That also leaves the question, what to wear so that I’m not only comfortable with all that walking but fashionable too.
Oversized sweaters and sweatshirts are my favorite things right now. I was never a sweatshirt girl unless I’m home, in bed and really cold. But this seasons cute and fashionable sweatshirts have me swooning over them. They’re warm, comfortable and super cute. What more could a girl ask for?
Comfy cardigans are my jam. Seriously, I wear them year round and you’ve probably never seen me without one. Spring/Summer I layer thin, short-sleeved ones over my tanks and shirts and in the Fall/Winter they are closet staples. They’re easy to take off if it gets too hot but super cute when layered over simple shirts and dresses.
If you know me, you know my love for a cute and functional purse. My LV Speedy bag is one of the most iconic and classic pieces in my closet. I own it in several sizes but for Fall my Damier Speedy 30 is my sidekick. It’s big enough to hold all my things, my camera, and even kid stuff and it looks great with just about anything.
Since the weather can be really rainy (it practically rained every day last week and left the pumpkin fields a little muddy), a cute pair of rain boots are a must for any Fall wardrobe. I’m a fan of tall ones like these. They look cute with jeans and leggings and even over dresses.
Cute booties are a must this season and my collection seems to keep growing and growing. It’s hard not to love these cute and fashionable shoes. They instantly add a wow factor to just about any outfit.
The most important thing you’ll need this Fall is comfort. Wherever you’re going or whatever activity you’re doing, there’s sure to be a lot of walking involved. As someone who suffers from knee and low-back pain when I’m on my feet too long, comfort is key for me.
Once the machine was done mapping my feet, it told me which Custom Fit® Orthotics were the right fit for me. It was that simple. Now I can easily get through long days at the pumpkin patch without any knee or back pain thanks to Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit® Orthotics.
