When it comes to your Walt Disney World vacation, deciding where to stay is half the fun. If you’re a Disney veteran, you know how true this is. Whether this is your first trip to Walt Disney World or your 100th, the first thing you need to decide on is where to stay. With so many different resorts to choose it’s fun to pick a new spot each visit. Sometime we fall in love with a resort and visit it several times in a row. This year I knew I wanted to try somewhere new. One resort I’ve been trying to book for the last several years is the Little Mermaid Rooms at the Art of Animation. Every time I tried it was always booked. When we were invited to this years Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I already knew we would be extending our trip for a few days so the first thing I did was check for availability at the Art of Animation.
Sure enough they had availiblity! I didn’t waste anytime and booked our room right away. Now all I had to do was wait for check in day to arrive.
The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney movies and I knew I was going to love the resort and I was so right!
The walk to our room made me feel like I was part of their world with gigantic statues of Ursula, Sebastion, and Prince Eric. The pool area looked like so much fun but we didn’t get a chance to even enjoy the pool.
Our room had a great pool view and Evie loved looking out our window and the décor while she waited for us to get ready.
The rooms were a typical Disney sized room (although they felt bigger than the rooms at Pop Century – the only other Value hotel we’ve stayed at)
Our room had the standard fare two full sized beds, table and 2 chairs, dresser, fridge, and tv – all the standards. The bathroom area had plenty of storage for luggage, hanging clothes and a shelf up top for more storage.
They spared no detailes when designing this room. The comforter had little shell imprints, the floor, the Little Mermaid lyrics on the table.
Theming is everywhere in this room and they did it perfectly. Nothing quite as perfect as what was waiting in the bathroom. The Ariel shower curtain was cute when I gasped when I looked behind it.
I felt like a little girl standing in the middle of my favorite movie. I’ll be honest it was a little breathtaking. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting it, maybe because I was so excited to be staying there finally. I’m not really sure.
I do know our next trip will be booked here for longer than just a day. I really want to experience this resort and all it has to offer.
SHOPPING AND NECESSITIES
There is agift shop, arcade between the food court and the check in area. So if you forget any souveniers before you head home you’re covered. If you need something for the pool, they’ve got your covered. We kept the arcade hidden from the kids since we didn’t really have time for it this trip. But there is one there.
DINING OPTIONS
There is a food court area in the main building with plenty of options for the whole family. We loved the food court options here and there was plenty of choices for everyone.
Overall we loved our stay at Disney’s Art of Animation resort and can’t wait to go back. Have you stayed at this resort before? I’d love to know what you thought.
