Our family staycation at Camelback Resort was just what we needed to relax and have fun all at the same time. Only a short drive from Philadelphia, New York City and the surrounding suburbs it’s the perfect location for a family vacation close to home or a quick weekend staycation just to get away for a little family fun. Either way, there is so much to do you’re bound to have an amazing time at Camelback Resort and Aquatopia Indoor Water Park. 

With the largest snow tubing park in the US, a HUGE indoor water park, and the perfect mountain for skiing. There’s something for everyone to do. We’re not skiers (yet) but we had the time of our lives out there snow tubing. Everyone of us.

THE ROOMS

During our trip, we stayed in a Double Queen Suite and it was HUGE.

I loved the size of our room. Sometimes hotel rooms can be cramped and small but this room had plenty of space. It gave my active toddler ample room to run around and burn off steam and a place for her brother to just relax and chill.  The room had double queen beds and a queen pull-out sofa that my tween immediately claimed.

The bathroom had a private tub/toilet area while the sink was in the hallway of the room. I personally love rooms set up like this as it makes it easier at bedtime with the kids.

The beds were super comfortable. In fact, they were one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in a hotel.

Our room had a large fridge, microwave, coffee maker and plenty of counter space in case we ordered room service or brought extra food back to our room. I loved that they thought of everything, like these charging ports above the nightstand. Being a blogger and having tons of gadgets with us on our trips, these were definitely appreciated.

THE FOOD

There are fabulous restaurants on site so you never have to leave to find something to eat. We dined at Hemispheres for both dinner and breakfast during our stay. We loved our dinner at the buffet restaurant so much that we went back the next morning for breakfast. There was something for everyone, even my pickiest eater. If a buffet is not your thing, you have plenty of other choices and I’ve heard great things about Trails End or Neptunes.

OUTDOOR FUN

If you’re looking for skiing or snow tubing fun, Camelback Mountain has got you covered. There’s a reason that Camelback has been voted PA’s favorite resort 4 years in a row. While we didn’t try out the skiing on this trip we did try our hand at snow tubing and had the time of our lives. It was seriously some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time and the kids had a blast!

INDOOR FUN 

There’s a huge arcade, laser tag, rock climbing wall, mini-golf, paint your own pottery and so much more. There really is something for everyone to enjoy at Camelback Resort.

AQUATOPIA

Trust me when I say you need at least an entire day (if not more) to spend at Aquatopia. Especially if your kids love the water the way mine do. Even spending most of the day here, we still didn’t feel like we had enough time splashing around in the water.

The wave pool was a favorite of my tween. He could have spent the whole day in there if I let him.

The kiddie pool area was perfect for Evie. From playing at the splash pool to learning to go down the slides all by herself, I literally had to pick her up and carry her our when it was time to leave. She just didn’t want to go.

There’s even a swim-up bar that I didn’t get a chance to try out but it’ll be my first stop on my next visit.

Let’s not forget about all the water slides. There are slides for big kids, slides for little kids and ones for the whole family to enjoy together so everyone is can have fun.

We all had an amazing time at Camelback Resort and the kids are begging to go back! If you’re looking to plan a family getaway check out Camelback Resort and everything they offer. You won’t be disappointed.
