When it comes to your Walt Disney World vacation, deciding where to stay is half the fun. If you’re a Disney veteran, you know how true this is. Whether this is your first trip to Walt Disney World or your 100th, the first thing you need to decide on is where to stay. With so many different resorts to choose it’s fun to pick a new spot each visit. Sometime we fall in love with a resort and visit it several times in a row. This year I knew I wanted to try somewhere new. One resort I’ve been trying to book for the last several years is the Little Mermaid Rooms at the Art of Animation. Every time I tried it was always booked. When we were invited to this years Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I already knew we would be extending our trip for a few days so the first thing I did was check for availability at the Art of Animation. We’ve had a Moana movie marathon going on in our house since last week. When we arrived home from the Poconos we had a package on our doorstep and both kids rushed to grab it. They knew it was a movie and were thrilled to see Moana in there! They’ve been begging to see this since we missed it when it was in theaters. I thought Evie might be too little to sit through an entire movie when it was release so this was one we were waiting for on DVD. Well that day is finally here! While we may have had a sneak peek last week, you can own it on Blu-ray today! It’s quickly become a family favorite and we’re watched it at least 5 times already! Since it was a little chilly this weekend, we hung out at home and had our own little Moana movie night. Since no movie night is complete without a delicious treat, so I made these Moana inspired cupcakes and I just love how they came out! One of the highlights from this year’s Disney Social Media Moms Conference was the 8-minute sneak peek of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast. I’ve loved this movie since I was a little girl and dare I say, it’s my favorite Disney movie. From the moment I heard they were making my beloved classic into a live- action film, I knew it would be amazing. I just didn’t know how amazing it was going to be until the trailers started being released and was able to see for myself. Once we found out we were getting treated to 8 minutes of the film, I immediately got chills. All I can say, it get your tickets now and see this movie as soon as it comes out. Ever since her debut on the Disney Channel, Evie has fallen in love with Elena of Avalor. It’s one of her favorite shows to watch. She calls her “Nena” when she sees her on tv or in the store and as soon as the theme song comes on, she climbs in her chair to watch. So it’s safe to say we’re excited for the newest Disney Junior release, Elena and the Secret of Avalor. We’ve watched the episode several times as it’s one of our favorites. I loved learning more of Elena’s backstory and Evie was excited to see Sofia the First in this episode. In a few weeks, we’re headed on an adventure of a lifetime with the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. This is my third time attending the event and I’m still just as excited as if it were my first. It’s no secret that I love Disney. We’ve been going annually for the last ten years and this year is going to be even more fun since it’s our first ever cruise. We’ll be spending a few days at Disney before embarking on a 3-day cruise about the Disney Wonder. While I consider myself quite the Disney expert, a Disney cruise is completely new to me. So I figure what better way to learn everything there is know about cruising Disney style then jumping right in. Over the years, I’ve read all about fish extenders or FEs and I’m pretty excited to finally participate in my first one. Given the short amount of time before our trip, instead of ordering a fish extender, I tried my hand at making my own. I surprised myself with how easy it was to make and best of all, it cost me about $10 to make! Now I’m going to show you how to make your own DIY Disney Cruise fish extender.
