From the moment I first saw previews for Disney’s Christopher Robin, I knew this was one movie that I just had to take the kids to see. We loved it so much we saw it in theaters twice and we have slowly been waiting for the DVD release so we can watch it over and over again. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait much longer as Christopher Robin will be out on Blu-Ray / DVD Tuesday, November 6th. My friend’s at Disney Studios send me some goodies so that we could have a Christopher Robin Friendsgivng party to celebrate the release. Naturally I had to put these goodies to good use. I was inspired by one delicious recipes in the honey cookbook and immediately knew what recipe I was making for my Friendsgiving celebration – a simple but oh so delicious Honey Glazed Salmon.

Disney’s Christopher Robin did an amazing job at taking an animated classic and turning it in to a heartwarming live-action tale. The kids can’t get enough of Pooh and the gang and there are some great messages in the movie for parents as well.
I know I for one, need to slow down more and just be in the present and this movie is a great reminder of that.
PLAN A CHRISTOPHER ROBIN FRIENDSGIVING
You can easily plan a fun Friendsgiving celebration with your family too. The great thing about parties like this is they can be as simple or as elaborate as you want! As long as you’re with the ones who matter most, that’s all you need. Well, maybe a jar of honey and a copy of Christopher Robin too!
My kit included some fun goodies like a beautiful serving tray/cutting board, a jar of honey, a honey cookbook, this adorable Hunny jar and some other goodies perfect for our celebration.
As soon as I flipped through the cookbook, I stumbled across a Smoked Onion Salmon recipe that looked delicious but I wasn’t sure how my kids would like the smoked onions on top so I decided to make my own Honey Glazed Salmon recipe with crispy onions instead.
Ever since our Disney Cruise to Alaska a few weeks ago, my kids can’t get enough of salmon so I knew this would be the perfect recipe to make.
It’s really simple to make and of course incorporates Pooh’s favorite snack – honey!
A Disney Christopher Robin Friendsgiving + Honey Glazed Salmon Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs of Wild Caught Salmon
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 cup crispy onions
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- salt & pepper to taste
- parsley
- Preheat over to 375 degrees
- Rinse and dry salmon
- Place salmon on a piece of foil and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper
- In a small bowl combine garlic (chopped), brown sugar and honey. Mix well.
- Pour glaze over salmon.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.
- Remove top layer of foil and spoon juices on top.
- Broil for 2-4 minutes
- Top with parsley and crispy onions
