One of my favorite things about the holidays is the food. Especially the cookies. I love cookies. I love baking cookies. I love eating cookies. That’s probably why my annual cookie party is one of my favorite events and I look forward to it every year. Everyone brings their favorite cookie to the party and we all go home with so many delicious holiday treats. We even set up a cookie decorating station for the kids to create their own masterpieces. Everyone has so much fun. So today I’m sharing my tips to help you plan an easy and fun cookie exchange party.
Assign easy instructions – The event is supposed to be fun so make things simple for everyone and ask everyone to bring a dozen cookies. More if you want but a dozen is a great start. A few extra for snacking is also great.
Set up a Drink Station – All this cookie tasting is going to make your guests thirsty. Set up a rink station with coffee, tea, water and of course milk and cups handy so everyone can help themselves as they need.
Promote Variety – You don’t want everyone making chocolate chip cookies so assign some flavors or ask friends what they’re bringing so you don’t have too many of one flavor.
Box Mixes are Your Friend – While cookies from scratch are delicious, there are some box mixes that are as good, if not better than homemade. These mixes are your friend especially during the busy holiday season. If you’re pressed for time and can’t squeeze in your grandma’s favorite recipe, don’t fret. Pick up a box of Krusteaz Cookie Mixes and make it easy on yourself.
This are great for the kids too. The kids look forward to our annual baking party just as much as the adults to. Pick up plenty of fun decorating tools for them to use and they’ll be entertained for hours.
Krusteaz is one of my favorite cookie and baking brands and they make frequent appearances in my kitchen. Grab a few boxes and make your next cookie swap an easy event with delicious cookies everyone will love.
