With Easter right around the corner, I’ve been busy trying to find the perfect basket and goodies to surprise the littles. I like to limit candy and keep it filled with other things instead. Since Peppa Pig is constantly on in our house, I knew I wanted to make her a Peppa inspired basket this year, and with a little tulle, some felt and a few Peppa Pig goodies like the new Peppa Pig Eater Bunny DVD, you can too.
For the basket, I used a basket that was already pink and picked up pink tulle, some light pink felt to make the basket. All the supplies cost me less than $5!
I used a large rubber band to hold the “tutu” in place. You can also use elastic but since I had the rubber band already, it saved me from having to buy anything else.
First, I opened the tulle and cut them into pieces about 12 inches long.
Next, I looped them through the rubber band one at a time. Start by folding your tulle piece in half and run it under the rubber band.
Make a loop at the top and pull the loose bottom pieces through the loop. Pull to tighten.
Repeat this all the way around the basket. When you done, position the rubber band to make sure it’s even and trim any pieces that need it.
To make Peppa’s ears, fold the light pink felt in half and on the closed side, cut out the shape of the ears.
Using a hot glue gun, glue the ears to the top of the basket.
Then grab your Peppe Pig: Easter Bunny DVD and other goodies to fill your basket.
So easy and it looks adorable!
