Christmas Eve is only few days away and I’ll be honest, I’m a little behind this year. I’ll be spending half my day at my brother-in-law’s mother’s house and then off to Christmas Eve dinner at my mom’s house. I wanted to make a nice hostess gift for her to enjoy after the open house. I made her this delicious Banana Bread and put together a little gift basket full of everything she needs to make the recipe again.
The secret to this delicious Banana Bread is the KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing. It turned out so moist and delicious I had trouble keeping my husband from snacking on it. I picked everything up at Walmart while I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping.
For this recipe, I got my inspiration from the KRAFT website. It was easy to follow and super delicious. They did one large loaf but I changed it up and used my mini loaf pan to make four smaller loaves.
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 1/3 cups mashed full ripe bananas (about 3)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of PLANTERS Walnuts
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. of salt
To put together the gift basket, I just added a three bananas, a jar of KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing and a jar of the dry ingredients.
I used a large mason jar to hold the dry ingredients and just layered them in according to the directions. Once it was full, I sealed its and tied a pretty bow onto it.
I wrapped a few of the Banana Bread Mini Loaves and in some festive paper and tied them with a bow to include them in the basket as well. I added the loaves to the basket and that’s it. Super simple to make a delicious treat. This is a great idea for a last minute teachers gift, friend or neighbor.
