Easy No Bake 4th of July Dessert Recipe

Celebrate the red, white and blue with this easy to make Patriotic No Bake 4th of July Dessert Recipe!

This easy no bake 4th of July Dessert recipe is simple to make and tastes delicious

July 4th is right around the corner and if you’re like me and want a delicious dessert for your picnic or party but don’t want to cook, then this No Bake 4th of July Dessert is for you! I used a simple store bought pound cake and whipped up some of my homemade whipped cream that is just to-die for and, well, that’s it really. No you could totally make a homemade cake but it’s too hot to turn the oven on. So it’s store bought for me. 4th-of-july-dessert-recipe-

You could even buy some store bought whipped cream but nothing beats homemade whipped cream and with how easy it is to make, there’s no reason not to make this part homemade.

The hardest part was cutting the cake into star shapes but the cookie cutters did most of the work so it’s not really that hard.

It’s best to assemble these right before serving but you can totally prep everything ahead of time and set it aside in the fridge until you’re ready to serve them.

The trick is slicing the cake thick enough that it doesn’t crumble when you move them but thin enough get enough pieces out of the cake.

I probably cut mine somewhere between 1/4 & 1/2 inch thick. I totally eye balled it since I was in a rush.

And about that whipped cream, it’s a whopping 3 ingredients and about 5 minutes of your time to make but it’s so much better than anything you can buy in a store.

Trust me on this one. I rarely buy store bought whipped cream because it’s just too easy. Any extra can be stored in a mason jar in the fridge for a day or two.

Any berries would work for this recipe but since I’m sticking with a red, white and blue theme, it was strawberries and blueberries for me.
