Crunchy Fish Sticks, creamy cheddar cheese and crunchy bread combine for the perfect grilled cheese in this Fish Stick Grilled Cheese Recipe.
This post is in partnership with Gorton’s Seafood. All opinions are my own.
Summer vacation is quickly looming on the horizon and if you’re family is anything like mine, that means kids foraging through the cabinets exclaiming “I’m hungry ” all day long. So I’m trying to get ahead of the game by stocking up on family favorites and coming up with new recipes so that the kids won’t get bored and I won’t here them complain about eating the same thing over and over. That means packing my freezer full of Gorton’s Fish Sticks.
Gorton’s Fish Sticks are a great superfood and a healthy choice for your family. As a mom, I love that there’s no bad stuff in these fish sticks!
Gorton’s Fish Sticks have no fillers, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, antibiotics or hydrogenated oils which makes this mom happy.
The wild caught Alaska pollock is breaded in crispy panko for a delicious crunch in each bite.
Plus my kids love them! While it’s trickier getting them to eat other types of fish, I never hear no when I tell them Gorton’s Fish Sticks are on the menu.
Especially when I put two of their favorites on the menu. It doesn’t get much better than fish stick and grilled cheese. Unless you dip it into some homemade tomato soup.
For this fish stick grilled cheese I used a nice, crunchy Italian bread, some cheddar cheese slices and of course Gorton’s Fish Sticks.
Once the fish sticks were baked, I buttered the bread and put one slice buttered side down on the pan. Then I layered a slice of cheese, the Gorton’sFish Sticks (I used two per sandwich), another slice of cheddar and topped it with another slice of bread.
Once it was a nice, golden brown. I flipped it to cook the other side.
When it’s done pair the sandwiches with a nice bowl of tomato soup and you’ve got one delicious dinner on your hands.
