Is it me or do the holidays seems to go by faster every year. Maybe it’s because I’m a year older or maybe it’s just as simple as there is so much on our calendars now that it just makes the time seem like it’s going faster. Either way, I feel like I blinked and it was over. If you’re following me on social media, you may have seen our holiday adventures in the 2017 Toyota Corolla. Whether it was a holiday light show or just finishing up holiday shopping, the Toyota Corolla was my side kick for a week and I put it to good use!
Last year when I attended the New York International Auto Show, I fell in love with the new Toyota Camry and since then I’ve had a chance to drive the Toyota Avalon, Highlander and Toyota has really impressed me with their vehicle lineup! My latest test drive in the Toyota Corolla is continuing to blow me away and show me the Corolla is not what I remember it to be.
I tried to fit in as much local holiday fun as we could in in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Last year we went away for the weekend before the holiday and while it was nice and relaxing to unwind amidst the craziness, when I got home I felt so much pressure to get ready in a few short days. So this year we opted to stay home instead of traveling for the holidays and honestly, we had just as much fun.
It didn’t hurt that we were cruising around in a new car for the week. The kids get just as excited when a new car comes as I do. So we made sure to spend plenty of time in the Corolla to really get to know it. Including a visit or two to see Santa. Here are 5 reasons to love the Toyota Corolla.
PLENTY OF CARGO SPACE
No matter what your family size, we can all agree that cargo space is pretty important in our vehicles. We need room for all sorts of things like school sports, shopping trips and luggage for all those road trips. For a compact car, the trunk space in the Corolla did not disappoint. I mean, did you see how much stuff I packed in the trunk! I actually surprised myself! I filled that baby up with countless bags of presents, a huge grocery shopping order, plus endless other stuff I packed in there. For a compact car, I was definitely impressed with the storage space.
The first things that catches my eye about a car is how it looks. The sleek lines and curves are what make it or break it for me and the Corolla lives up to my standards. It’s a sharp looking car that is made to stand out.
The Corolla attracts all the right attention with it’s sporty exterior and features like standard Bi-LED headlights and gorgeous paint colors like this Galactic Aqua Mica. When it was first dropped off, I thought it was black paint, once I got closer and the sun hit it, I saw this gorgeous blue.
With a starting Price $18, 500, it’s an affordable option for families. The Toyota Corolla XLE model which I test drove comes in a little higher at $23,717.
If you’re in the market for a smaller sedan where safety comes standard, then the Toyota Corolla might just be the car you’re looking for.
