Whether you’re planning a backyard bonfire and movie night, or you’re just binging on your favorite Halloween movies with the family, you’re going to need to eat. So why not make dinner fun and get the whole family involved? Even the youngest family members can have fun creating their own Halloween masterpieces and even make their own little pizzas.
Everything is better homemade, and nothing beats creating memories in the kitchen and this is one Halloween tradition that everyone can enjoy. Plus, Halloween is the perfect excuse to play with your food and get a little creative in the kitchen.
You can make a fun mummy pizza with just strips of cheese or make the adorable jack-o-lantern and ghost pizzas like I made here for a spooky pizza night.
You only need a few ingredients to make these jack-o’-lantern and ghost pizzas, and since they’re ready in about 15 minutes, you won’t waste anytime away from your festivities.
I made a simple cheese pizza but you could add any of your favorite toppings or get creative and make other fun Halloween scenes.
OTHER TOPPINGS TO USE ON YOUR HALLOWEEN PIZZA RECIPE:
- black olives
- pepperoni slices
- green bell pepper
- red pepper
- ground beef
- ripe olives
- or any of your favorite pizza toppings
I used Boboli Pizza Crust but you can use traditional pizza dough, pita bread, naan breads, thin crust pizza crusts, etc.
This is the perfect dinner recipe to make on Halloween night. Make it before the trick-or-treaters arrive and enjoy it while you pass out Halloween treats.
They would also be fun for a Halloween party or for any reason during the Halloween season.
They take under 15 minutes to cook, making them my favorite choice for a quick and easy meal.

I created the jack-o-lantern pizza with a 8 in. pizza crust making them the perfect personal pizza option.
Then for some variety, I used ghost-shaped cookie cutters to cut a ghost shape into a slice of mozzarella cheese, and then topped it with plenty of fresh basil. We made these for dinner on the day we decorated for Halloween to kick of spooky season.
Another fun idea would be to make a fun spider web and spider bodies on top of the pizza.
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THESE MINI HALLOWEEN PIZZAS
The great part about this recipe is that it only takes simple ingredients to create something fun and delicious. You’ll need:
- Pizza crust (whichever you choose to use) – just be sure to follow the package directions when it comes time to cooking your pizzas. You want to make sure they are cooked fully before serving.
- pizza sauce or tomato sauce
- olive oil
- mozzarella cheese (shreds and slices)
- ghost cookie cutter
- pizza pan or pizza stone
Some additional items if you want to make more fun designs
- mozzarella cheese sticks (for a spooky tree look)
- olive eyes and spider legs from olives
But it definitely won’t be the last time we eat these mini pizzas. My daughter has already asked for spooky pizzas every Friday night. And I’m not going to lie, the mozzarella ghosts are just the cutest and I totally wouldn’t mind eating them all throughout spooky season.
The only question left is, what would you make on your Halloween pizzas?
