Surprise someone you love this Valentine’s Day with these Surprise Heart Cupcakes. One bite, reveals a red velvet heart shape in the center of each of cupcake.

They’re the perfect treat to surprise someone you love this Valentine’s Day. Plus they’re a great way to have everyone guessing on how you made them. My oldest helped me bake them so he knew the “secret” already. My husband on the other hand had no idea how I baked that heart inside there until I showed him this post. I told him it was magic! Once you see how easy it is, you can try this bit of baking magic in your house.
The trick is using mini cookie cutters to cut heart shaped pieces of red velvet cake for the inside of the Surprise Inside Heart Cupcakes.

- Mini Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
- 1 Box of Red Velvet Cake Mix
- 1 Box of Vanilla Cake Mix
- Eggs
- Oil
- Water

Enjoy!

What a sweet treat for Valentine's Day! The kids would love the surprise heart in the middle. I'm sure they're tasty, too.
I would love to make these for a bridal shower. Do you have a secret to how to cut the cupcake to show the heart down the center? Thanks.
