It’s pretty obvious I have a thing for Charcuterie Boards over here on my little corner of the internet. And while I love the “traditional” meat based boards, I love a good dessert one too. Since Winter is practically knocking on our doors right now, it’s the perfect time to share my latest delectable creation – a hot cocoa charcuterie board.

Full of chocolate-y deliciousness, fluffy marshmallows, chocolate spoons and little gingerbread men cookies that are perfect for dipping this is one snack board you’ll never forget.

This hot cocoa board is perfect for everything from a snow day, how fun would this be after a day of sledding and building snowmen, to your next holiday party and even a family movie night.

In fact, it’s such a fun way to usher in the holiday season you’ll find yourself wanting to create one any and every chance you’ll get.

I love it because it lets your family and guests get creative with their hot chocolate recipes and let’s their imagination run wild.

No two hot chocolates will be the same thanks to an array of toppings and fun add-ins like snowman shaped marshmallows and chocolate spoons for stirring.

ITEMS YOU’LL NEED TO CREATE THE ULTIMATE HOT CHOCOLATE BAR

Your ingredient list will vary but these list of ingredients is a great starting point. I went with a snowman theme since I found the cutest marshmallows and other accessories in, you guessed it, snowman designs but you could make a Santa board, a reindeer theme or even style it by color.

A red and green board, gold and white, etc. The possibilities are endless and you can really let your imagination go wild here.

I used a jumbo charcuterie board since I was making mine for a crowd but you could totally size this down and use a smaller board for your creation.

Here are some of the things I used to create my hot cocoa dessert board:

  • large platter, wooden tray or large cutting board
  • plenty of small bowls
  • snowman marshmallows
  • hot chocolate bombs
  • mini marshmallows
  • caramel sauce
  • peppermint sticks
  • chocolate syrup
  • cinnamon sticks
  • white chocolate chips
  • mini chocolate bars
  • mini candy canes
  • whipped cream (try my Homemade Whipped Cream Recipe HERE)
  • coconut flakes
  • peppermint bark
  • peppermint chips
  • mini dehydrated marshmallows
  • and any of your favorite hot chocolate toppings

Depending on the theme of your board and your favorite toppings and treats, your board might have different things on it. In that case your list of ingredients may vary. But remember, these no wrong way to make a Hot Chocolate Dessert Board. It can be as fancy or as simple as you’d like it.

And speaking of chocolate, if you want an equally delicious chocolate dessert board that would pair perfectly with this hot cocoa charcuterie board, this Ultimate Chocolate Lovers Chocolate Board is for you.

This board is one of my most popular, and for good reason! It’s loaded with chocolate cake, cupcakes, cookies and so much more. It would pair perfectly with this Hot Cocoa Board.

The hot cocoa board is such an easy and festive idea to add a little holiday cheer to any day. You can even use this as a festive Christmas Day drink buffet.

Everyone loves hot chocolate and it would be the perfect addition to a Christmas Morning Brunch or dinner.

Make it adult-friendly and add some Peppermint Schnapps for an adults-only twist.

This board was a family favorite and I made it for a few different holiday gatherings last year and I’ve already been hunting for all the fun pieces to make some boards this year for the holidays.

Hi! What are the round white reindeer heads? Or how did you make them? They are so cute!

Hi! They're actually marshmallows I found at TJ Maxx or maybe Marshalls but you could probably make something similar with regular marshmallows or even cookies. Hope that helps :)
