Within the past few months, my daughter’s hair has really started to come in (even after we gave her her first haircut when we were in Disney earlier this Spring). For awhile there she was a cute bald little baby after the dark hair she was born with started to fall out. Now just like both her father and I, her hair is coming in blonde. If she follows the same pattern as her brother and both of us (we all had blonde hair as babies that eventually turned dark brown), she have dark hair again in a few years but for now we’re enjoying her little blonde hair. With longer hair comes more tangles. There’s been mornings she wakes up with some serious bed head.
She’s at the age where she’s into everything from crawling and rolling all over the floor to trying to walk. She’s active, like all toddlers, and her hair really shows it sometimes! While I can’t help but squeal at how cute her messy hair looks, I know I need an easy routine to maintain it. It’s finally long enough for a little pony tail on the top of her head but that’s about it right now. Hopefully soon it’ll be long enough style in more fun designs but for now I’ll enjoy this little style.
Right now it’s so long in the front that it’s starting to fall over her eyes. Headbands work great but they easily fall off when she’s rolling around the floor.
Unfortunately for her, that bed head has even included a few tangles which she did not enjoy! I know first hand the tangles that come with long hair since my own hair is really long but I didn’t expect to see tangles on her so soon! Thankfully they were tiny and nothing a little spritz of Detangling Spray couldn’t fix.
To keep her hair looking cute and easy to style, we use this easy 3-step regimen that’s perfect for active toddlers and kids of all ages!
Step 1: Cleanse with a 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner
Step 2: Nourish utilizing a Leave-in Conditioner
Step 3: Style using a brush or wide tooth comb and Detangling Spray
She loves having her hair brushed and after her bath she gets excited when I bring her brush out. She’ knows what’s coming next and loves every minute of it. I know how much I love when my hair cooperates and I have a good hair day. Now our little ones can have the from the start thanks to JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®.
NO MORE TANGLES® frees parents to have fun with their toddlers’ style and avoid getting all tangles up in the knots of managing it.
I use NO MORE TANGLES® on my own hair when I my tangles get out of control so I know it’ll keep her hair tangle free the longer it gets.
What tips do you have to keep your little one’s hair tangle free? I’d love to hear them!
