The countdown until the busiest time of the year for me has officially begun. From Halloween all the way through the new year is such a busy time for me. Between holiday shopping, decorating, baking, work, homeschooling and just being a mom to my two kids my days are busy to say the least. Unfortunately it’s also really easy for my to lose track of one important thing – taking care of me. As moms we’re used to putting everyone else’s needs before our own and I’m no different. To change that, I’ve been actively making little changes to how I eat and take care of myself starting with switching to Colgate Total® Daily Repair™ toothpaste. After all, if mom gets sick we all know things are not getting done around here.
I’ve completely revamped my daily schedule to make sure I get a few extra minutes of “me time” in each day. Starting as soon as I wake up. I changed my schedule to make sure I wake up about thirty minutes before I know the kids will. This was I can be up and ready for the day while they’re still asleep and by the time they get up, I kick our day into overdrive.
My healthier changes start with the way I brush my teeth. Since this is the first thing I do in the morning, I start my day with new Colgate Total® Daily Repair™ toothpaste.
Colgate Total® Daily Repair™ toothpaste helps reverse early tooth and gum damage for better oral health, remineralizing weakened enamel and helping to prevent gingivitis.
Using Colgate Total® Daily Repair™ toothpaste helps prevent gingivitis and plaque buildup while remineralizing enamel to strengthen teeth and help prevent dreaded cavities. It even fights bad breath and whitens teeth.
Another easy switch for me was replacing my favorite sugary drinks with water. Now each morning I will fill a large water bottle with water and lemon slices to drink throughout the day. This way I stay hydrated and can cut out the sugary drinks I would typically grab.
Since finding time to exercise is the hardest part for me right now, I’m making the best out of this gorgeous weather and have been taking daily walks with the kids. It gets us all out of the house for a little bit and counts towards my exercise for the day.
These are just some of the small steps I’m taking for a healthier me. Ready to make some changes your to your routines? You can find Colgate Total toothpaste aisle in Walmart. I grabbed some new toothbrushes for the whole family and this cute little drawer organizer to keep everything neat and tidy under the sink.
Although these may be little changes, they’ve really started to add up to my overall well being. Small steps eventually lead to big steps and I’m thrilled with my progress so far.
