I partnered with DriveShop to test drive the Mazda 3 for a week. All opinions are my own.
For the last week I’ve been driving around in the 2016 Mazda 3 and I’m excited to talk about some fun features on the car. First we’ll start with the looks. The car was stylish and sporty and a lot of fun to drive. The first thing that caught my attention was this gorgeous red color. It’s definitely an attention getter and the color was gorgeous. It’s loaded with plenty of options that make this a great car for everything from daily errands to a fun road trip.
The Mazda 3 is equipped with Mazda’s SkyActic Technology that offers more fuel efficiency without giving up performance. The car gets an average of 33 MPG.
The car comes equipped with 18″ alloy wheels and all season tires that fit with the overall sporty feel perfectly.
Additional Standard Features:
- Adaptive Front Lighting System
- Body Color Rear Deck Lip Spoiler
- Gloss Black Grille
- LED Daytime Running Lights
- Moonroof with One-Touch Opening
- Rain-sensing windshield wipers
Now let’s talk about the interior. The leather seats were extremely comfortable. Not only that they looked great too. I loved the red stitching against the black leather. The red stitching was not only on the seats but the leather wrapped steering wheel, center console and doors too.
The carbon fiber door trim was also a nice touch and added to the overall sporty theme of the vehicle.
The backseat was comfortable with plenty of leg room and held our rear facing car seat perfectly. While it was a bit snug sitting up front with the car seat installed, it was doable.
The one-touch open moonroof was a nice option especially on these gorgeous days we’re having.
The Mazda3 offers plenty of trunk space for this size vehicle. It comfortably held our stroller along with all our grocery bags and plenty more.
Overall my husband and I really enjoyed driving the Mazda 3. While it was a little tight on space with a rear-facing car seat, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for us and we all still fit comfortably in the car. If you’re in the market for a fun and sporty looking car to drive around in that is loaded with the latest technology and features plus an overall 5-star safety rating than be sure to check out the 2016 Mazda 3. It may be just what you’re looking for.
