WHAT TYPE OF DELI MEATS CAN I USE TO MAKE MEAT ROSES

There is a variety of meats you can use that will hold the shape of a rose. Always use a thicker sliced meat to make your pepperoni roses and salami roses. Even a thick sliced ham works great for making meat roses.

DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL TOOLS TO MAKE MEAT ROSES?

The best part of these beautiful snacks is that you don’t need any special tools to make meat roses. You probably have everything on hand in your house.

You can use a wine glass, champagne glass or anything else that has a similar sized opening at the top.

Be careful with any glasses that have a wide mouth opening. They’ll require a lot of slices of meat and if you don’t use enough you run the risk of them falling apart when you take them out of the glass.

HOW MUCH MEAT DO I NEED YO MAKE THESE MEAT ROSES?

Depending on how many meat roses you want to grace your charcuterie board will determine how much deli meat you need.

On average, that 1/2 pound of deli sliced meats like pepperoni, salami or thick sliced ham will make about 2 meat roses.

These salami roses are on the larger size and I find about 2 of them are just enough for my charcuterie boards.
Depending on the theme of your cheese board, you may want more than 2 so plan accordingly.

Step 3: repeat with another piece of meat overlapping the first one slightly.
