I’m about to get pretty real with you. For the last few years, I’ve been struggling. Struggling with something important to my health and daily well-being – my weight. Growing up and through my mid-twenties, weight was never an issue. I was active, never had to watch what I ate, I was just always thin. Then pregnancy came along. Despite suffering from severe morning sickness and not being able to eat much of anything those first few months, I started to pack on the pounds especially when my appetite came back. In the end I gained over 85 pounds. Since then my weight has been an ongoing battle. It’s time for a change and I’m battling my weight a whole new way this time around thanks to NeuroGym.
Over the years, I’ve tried different diet and exercise plans to no avail. Sure I lost a ton of weight on one specific plan, but the minute I went off and strayed just a bit, the weight came creeping back up. Then my second pregnancy came along.
My body was vastly different with pregnancy at 27 compared to 36. This time I packed the weight on from the beginning and just kept gaining. I don’t remember how much I gained this time around (I’ve buried that number far, far in my head) and I’m still trying to get rid of those pregnancy pounds nearly 3 years later. Now they’ve just become mom pounds because at this point I can’t even blame them on the pregnancy anymore. Taking the weight off and keeping it off has become a priority for me and this time, I’m looking at weight loss in a whole new way. I’ve always been a stress eater and NeuroGym is helping me get to the root of my weight gain issues.
Taking the weight off and keeping it off has become a priority for me and this time and Winning the Game of Weight Loss is helping me develop healthier habits and re-training my brain. This is a program unlike any of the others I’ve tried. There’s no calorie counting or food restrictions, instead, this program focuses on the root of the problem – the mindset behind struggling with weight.
It’s helping me to learn to stick with my goals instead of just giving up. Winning the Game of Weight Loss is a brain-based program that helps to re-train your brain and reshape your body and self-image from the inside out.
There are 12 levels, each with audio guides to walk you through the program and help you achieve your goals.
I’ve found looking at weight loss in an entirely new way and making myself a priority is really helping me succeed in this journey.
SET ATTAINABLE GOALS
My ultimate goal is to lead a healthier lifestyle. To get there, I need to set smaller, more attainable goals instead of trying to just drop the weight fast. I want the results to stick and last. So I’m setting smaller goals like limiting my sugar intake. Reaching for fresh fruit or vegetables instead of chips or other not good for me snacks. I’ve been more conscious of what I eat and foods to nourish my body instead of just eating to eat.
FOCUS ON YOU
I’m always so busy taking care of everyone else, I always put myself last. Now, I’ve been scheduling time for me every day. Whether I wake up before the kids and squeeze in an hour or so of time just for myself. No work, no distractions just me and my thoughts. Since beginning Winning the Game of Weight Loss, I use this as my time to complete the program or begin a new chapter.
STAY CONSISTENT
As hard as it may be, staying consistent is the best thing I can do. I tend to start a program ready and eager and then after a few weeks or sometimes days, I quickly revert back to my old ways. With this program, I have a dedicated time each day for myself to catch up and prepare for what comes next. I can focus on staying consistent. Sure some days are busier than others and I have to adapt, but I squeeze it in even if it’s during my little one’s nap time.
Some of the program highlights:
- When you join the program, you get lifetime access. There is no monthly fees or annual fees to continue the membership
- It’s a simple program to follow to get to the root of your weight loss struggles and helps you overcome them
- The brain-based program helps you re-train your brain and reshape your body and self-image as you work through the program
- Each level takes about 7 days
As I work through the program, I keep a journal with me to write down notes and tips as I go.
