I was in charge of dessert for one of our Cub Scouts meetings and of course had to do a something cute, I couldn’t just bring plain cupcakes! So after scouring Pinterest I came across cute campfire cupcakes. They looked easy enough to replicate so off I went.
To make the “fire” you need a bag of butterscotch and cinnamon candy disks. After I unwrapped each one, I placed them in a ziploc bag and hammered them to mash them into little pieces.
May The Fourth Be With You!! Since my little guy is such a HUGE Star Wars fan….I thought it would be fun to surprise him after school with a Star Wars themed dinner. I actually forgot today was the day….but don’t tell him….so everything was thrown together about an hour before I picked him up! I decorated the table…..
I made carrots for dessert tonight….yup carrots for dessert…ok…well not really but they looked like carrots!! I thought it was a fitting April Fools joke on the family!! I’m making these for Easter too but I was really in the mood for some chocolate covered strawberries tonight. They were yummy and simple to make. I just dipped the strawberries in melted white chocolate ….actually orange white chocolate…
I can’t believe Easter is only a week away…..where does the time go! We have been so busy around here I’ve lost track of time but I figured I’d better get on here and update some of the things we have been working on! Anyone who knows me, knows I love to decorate for holidays…and Easter is no exception!! Two of my favorite things to decorate with are faux chocolate bunnies and Peter Rabbit! Here is a little wreath that I made last weekend.
Again this was a pretty cheap project compared to the prices of ones I seen online! I started with another wreath from dollar tree (if I did it again I would use a foam wreath but I couldn’t find any at AC Moore when I was there and I wasn’t going to drive all over to look for one) and some ribbon. I wrapped the ribbon around the wreath so it was smooth when I started wrapping the yarn.
