It’s been one heck of a start to the new year between snow days and extreme cold, I’m having a little trouble getting back into the swing of things. I know I’m not alone just by all the moms (and dads) sharing their frustrations all over my Facebook feed. While I’m trying to get into a groove over here, I’m keeping things like making lunches for school and these pesky snow days simple. My daughter loves her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and she’d eat them every day if I let her. So I love putting a fun twist on a regular PB&J for her so I combined a few of her favorite fresh fruits and made her these yummy Peanut Butter and Jelly Taco Sandwiches.
These combine everything delicious from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a fun shape perfect for her small hands. She never eats the crust on her sandwiches so I always find myself cutting the edges off and just giving her a plain square.
But she loves having her sandwiches cut into fun shapes with cookie cutters so I thought why not make mini taco sandwiches for her. The highlight of the sandwich is the Smucker’s® Concord Grape Jelly and the Simply Jif® Peanut Butter. Honestly, I don’t think there is a better way to make a PB&J sandwich than with these two staples.
These were Smucker’s and Jif were my childhood staples and I always feel a little nostalgic when I pull the jars out. I remember using Smucker’s Concord Grape Jelly on my sandwiches, or at breakfast with buttered toast and jelly. Mmmmm. So good. Smucker’s has the perfect touch of sweetness since it’s made with real fruit. I think I even went through a period in my childhood where this is all I ate for breakfast.
So naturally, when it comes to making these meals for my kids, I turn to Smucker’s and Jif.
