Here we are a few days into September (hello?! where has this year gone?) and I’m knee deep in planning my little one’s second birthday. I can’t believe she’s already turning two. As I sit and watch her and how much she’s grown over the last two years, I can’t help but notice and how similar and yet, how different she is compared to her big brother. Lately she’s been showing interest in using the potty. Her brother was almost three before he showed any interest at all. So I’ve been encouraging her and talking to her more about using the potty. To keep the excitement going, I picked up a new potty and created a potty training kit just for her. I wanted something to make her feel special and get even more excited about using the potty. Once I saw that Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Trainings pants had her favorite princess, Sofia The First, on them, I knew she’d be excited.
Of course I was right. She was so excited when I gave her the potty kit last weekend. We’re looking forward to giving potty training a go soon but before we started, I wanted to make it fun and try to get her excited about it.
Since she’s younger than her brother was, I wanted to get her comfortable with the potty so I figured now was the perfect time to set everything up and let her get used to it. Before I created her potty training kit, I headed over to the Pull-Ups at Walmart website to learn potty training character she was. Once I figured out she was a “puppy” I printed out some helpful potty training tips to help us along the way. You can find out what adorable potty training character your little one is and learn some helpful hints too.
Next, I created a potty training kit. Actually I created two, more on that in a minute. I bought a cute basket (plastic for easy cleaning) and filled it with:
- Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants
- Fun new underwear
- Step Stool to help her reach the sink for hand washing
- Princess crown headband
I put everything in the tote and decorated it with a few ribbons to make it fun and festive. After all, potty training is a big deal. I made sure to add plenty of Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants in her basket. They’re the only pant that feels cool within seconds when wet. The cooling sensation helps little ones with potty training all while offering all around protection and easy open sides that this mom loves.
I even personalized her step stool to fit with the princess theme. I found a cute princess crown sticker to decorate the stool with. You can get as creative as you want with the decorating, but I wanted to keep it fairly simple.
The sticker was made from a thicker, vinyl material to make wiping and cleaning easy.
It fit the princess theme perfectly but you can easily change this for your son or daughter to anything they like.
I love how cute it came out and she does too!
We picked up everything we needed for this potty training kit at Walmart. Starting at just $8.97 a pack, Walmart has such great prices for the Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training Pants. Plus they carry such a wide selection of baby products that I know I can always find what I’m looking for there. Since the Pull-Ups® Cool & Learn® Training pants were essential to this new journey, I headed to aisle to pick some up. They’re the only pant that feels cool when wet and they have easy-open sides to make changes easy all while offering all around protection.
I even made a second one for a friend who is about to start potty training her little one. Who wouldn’t love to get a cute little potty training kit to celebrate this big milestone?!
