Simple and delicious, these Snow White Inspired Poison Apple Cupcakes make a great dessert for a party or movie night!

It’s no secret that I’m a huge Disney fan and if you follow me on social media you’ve probably seen my Disney posts from our trips and movie nights we have at home. One of my all time favorite movies is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs so when I heard that it would be the first movie released marking the new Walt Disney Legacy Collection, I knew exactly what I was going to create for our movie night. When the DVD arrived last week, we couldn’t wait to watch it for our family movie night pick of the week.
I already knew I would be making these Poison Apple Inspired Cupcakes for dessert. They were such an easy dessert and my son actually took over most of the baking for me.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 box of red cake mix
- 1 can of red frosting
- red cupcake lines
- red sanding sugar
- green candy that is soft enough to mold. I used a green Airhead taffy.
(Note: if you can’t find red cake mix or frosting just use white and red food coloring and tint it.)
Bake cupcakes arriving to package directions. Once cool, frost with red frosting and sprinkle the red sanding sugar on top. Cut off small pieces of the green taffy and shape into a stem and leaf. Place on top of cupcake and there you have it. The easiest Snow White Inspired Cupcakes ever!
I even made a batch of mini one for the kids. No matter what size you make, they’re all adorable!
Pair these cupcakes with the free printable Snow White activity sheets I shared last week and the Snow White DVD available now and you have an instant movie night the whole family will enjoy! I even have some more fun printable activity sheets to share with you!
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for this review. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
