Bring home Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse on DVD and whip up this easy and delicious Spiderman Popcorn Recipe complete with candy spiders!
Picking up the latest movie releases and planning an epic movie night have become quite the tradition in our house. No matter how busy the week was or what it threw at us, we always have our family movie night to look forward to. No movie night is complete without a delicious snack to go along with it. So when my teen son picked Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse for our latest movie night, I knew I had to whip up a fun snack to go along with it. So this Spiderman Popcorn Recipe was born! We get everything for our movie nights from Walmart.
My son has been waiting for this movie to come out on DVD so it was no surprise when it was his turn to pick up a movie, this what he picked for our movie night.
Now it was up to me to create a fun yet delicious snack to enjoy while we watched the movie. Since popcorn is the ultimate movie snack, I wanted popcorn to be involved but it couldn’t be just plain old popcorn. It had to be an epic popcorn recipe. Something sweet and salty to really make it fun.
This Spiderman popcorn recipe is just that! Salty from the popcorn and sweet from the Honeycomb cereal, candy spiders and candy drizzle. It matched the theme perfectly and was oh so delicious. Not to mention, so easy to make! I whipped this up while getting ready for the movie in no time at all!
Our favorite cereals, like Honeycomb and Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries make the perfect snack for movie night. With just a few simple ingredients like popcorn and some add ins, you have an epic movie night snack. I loved Honeycomb® when I was a kid and it reminds me so much of my childhood. I want to create similar memories with my son and I can’t think of a better way than with a fun recipe like this! If you haven’t seen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse yet, it’s a must! The movie introduces us to Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. It’s such a great movie and it even won the Academy Award for best animated feature!
Out of candy pieces and melted chocolate, I made these mini candy “spiders”. I used a little chocolate to attach them to a piece of Honeycomb cereal since it looks just like a spider’s web and they came out so cute and oh so delicious!
Once they were dry, I placed popcorn on a foil lined tray. Added the spider Honeycomb cereal pieces and drizzled it all with some melted red chocolate. Before that dried, I sprinkled some candy pieces in blue and red to match the theme of the movie and that’s it!
I let it sit a few minutes for the candy to get hard and then broke it up to serve! It was such a simple and delicious treat I cannot wait to make again!
You can pick up everything you need to re-recreate this epic movie night at Walmart!
It’s where I grabbed all the supplies for our fun movie night including the movie and Honeycomb® cereal!
What fun Spiderman themed snack, like this Spiderman Popcorn Recipe would you whip up with Honeycomb® or Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries?
