This was a busy weekend for us…..we were busy putting up all our Christmas trees. (Yes, we have a few) We have our main tree, our Disney Tree, a pirate tree in our pirate room, a John Deere tree and now a Star Wars tree! My son is a Star Wars fanatic! Since his room is done in Star Wars he knew he wanted a Star Wars tree this year. I started off with a black tree I got at Target last year (love their 75% sales!!) and used some toys he already had for the bottom. The lighted Yoda was a present from Grandmom & Grandpop….isn’t he just too cute! Ornaments were another story!! In the words of Darth Vader, I find the lack of Star Wars Christmas ornaments disturbing! There really isn’t much out there. I was lucky to find the R2D2 lights at a toy story and the black and silver balls we bought last year too (another deal). My little man stuck some of his action figures right on the tree and we made some ornaments too.
These were easy to make. I just printed some images, had him cut them out and then we glued them to the snowflake ornaments.
When we went to Disney in October, they still had some of the R2D2 & C3PO ear hat ornaments left, so we got each of them to add to the tree.
The tree isn’t done yet though. Hallmark has a few ornaments we want to add this year and we are going to make a few more ornaments to add. I’ll be sure to post pictures when it is complete but at least it is up and we can start enjoying it!
I love that he had to get in “costume” to decorate this tree!!
