Make Breakfast the FUN part of the day with these easy to style Minion Breakfast Party!
There was nothing more exciting during breakfast when I was a little girl then finding that hidden toy in the cereal box. Since I was the big sister, I would always come up with reasons why I had to be the one to find it and my poor little sister always believed me. Then we’d end up fighting over the toy and who got to keep it. Oh the memories I have all because of those little toys. Things aren’t much different today. Now it’s just my son who gets super excited over the toys in the box. I’ll admit there have been plenty of times in my adult life that I’ve bought cereal just for the toy. Lucky for him he doesn’t have to worry about sharing his prize, at least for a few more years!
We are super excited for the new Minion movie so I knew throwing a little Minion party would be the perfect way to celebrate.
A breakfast party is a great way to party and even more fun for a sleepover. Set it up the night before and when the kids wake up, they’re set for breakfast!
I used these glass jars to hold the cereal. I really love these jars and use all around the house but they were perfect to hold the cereal for this Minion breakfast party. The wide top made it easy for the kids to scoop their favorite variety of cereal. flavors.
With a few simple supplies, most of which I had on hand, I made the cute decorations to go along with the theme of the party.
HOW TO MAKE THESE EASY MINION NAPKINS
My favorite are the minion napkins/spoons. I simply wrapped a plastic spoon in a yellow napkin. To secure it, I cut a strip of black card stock and wrapped it around the napkin, taping the back side. Then using a glue dot, I attached a giant goggly eye to the front.
BAM! Super easy and cute, if I may say so!
Using some tissue paper I made a simply tissue paper garland in yellow, blue and black. I had the hardest time finding yellow tissue paper so I just used some of the yellow napkins! I don’t think anyone noticed the difference.
