Madison Resort Wildwood Crest: A Premier NJ Shore Experience
Sharing is caring!
Nestled along the iconic Wildwood Crest shoreline, Madison Resort Wildwood Crest blends vibrant “doo‑wop” architecture with modern luxury. Since opening its doors in May 2024, this resort has quickly become Cape May County’s largest and most celebrated beachfront resort. And just a quick view, it’s easy to see why.
Located right on the famous Wildwood Beaches, the Madison Resort offers sweeping views of the ocean and beach. With two restaurants on-site, a gorgeous saltwater pool and rooms that make you feel at home, the Madison Resort will quickly become your go-to Wildwood Crest destination.
Resort Highlights & Amenities
Dual Towers: Ocean & Royal
-
Ocean Tower (formerly Oceanview Motel, est. 1964) preserves mid-century charm with its iconic “blast‑off” roof and retro interiors, now fully renovated. This is where we stayed during our stay. This tower has four floors with private balconies and views for days.
-
Royal Tower (formerly Royal Hawaiian) adds an 88‑room complement across the street, tied together seamlessly into the resort complex.
Rooms & Styling
Each of the ~192 rooms features contemporary comforts – like a mini‑fridge, Keurig, microwave, and custom custom furnishings — infused with a retro feel and nostalgic pastel colors. During our stay we stayed in a Queen Suite on the 4th floor.
When you walked into our room there was an expansive living area with a table and chairs, sofa bed and kitchen area.
The bathroom area has a separate area for the sink and shower/toilet combo across the hall. I love this practical approach when traveling with the kids.
Outside we had amazing views of the ocean and pool area and just a couple steps away the rooftop patio.
There is an elevator as well so you don’t have to worry about lugging your luggage up 3 flights of stairs when checking in or out.
Pool, Cabanas & Lounge Area
The Ocean Tower had a gorgeous saltwater pool and hot tub surrounded by plenty of seating for pool days and cabana rentals. Chic canopy lighting transforms the resorts into a modern, social area.
Surrounding the pool are five cabanas that you can rent either part of the day or the entire day. I highly recommend a cabana, even if it’s just for part of the day. Each cabana comes with 2 lounge chairs and comfy sofa seating for relaxing by the pool.
There is a cute retro cooler and you can even order food from Vinyl delivered right to the cabana. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day at the beach or a fun kickoff to your day.
Between the pool and Vinyl, you’ll find a relaxing lounge area with plenty of comfy seating and fire pits you can rent for the evening. I loved this touch and thought it was the perfect spot to relax before turning in for the night.
Dining
Onsite at Madison Resort – Ocean Tower you’ll find 2 dining locations Madison Rose and Vinyl by Madison.
-
Madison Rose – The pink foot truck right at the pool is the spot to be when you graving a bite to eat while lounging at the pool. Madison Rose offers delicious and convenient breakfast and all day options such as fresh fruit, pastries, burgers and salads, as well as sweet treats and snacks just steps from the pool. There are several options to quench your thirst from sodas and water to non-alcoholic cocktails. You can even have snacks delivered to you directly on the beach from Madison Rose. Just look for the QR code hanging in your beach umbrella.
-
Vinyl by Madison offer elevated menus featuring seafood from local purveyors and crowd-pleasing small plates for all-day enjoyment. This BYOB restaurant invites you to savor the essence of casual coastal cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We’re open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. You can dine in or take out. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch here and loved each of our dishes. Food was fresh and delicious.
