We were invited to the media preview of Legoland® Discovery Center. All opinions are my own.
Today we were invited out to the LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Philadelphia to check out everything it has to offer. We’ve been patiently waiting for this to open since we first heard about it back in 2015. Having two kids who love their Lego’s, we couldn’t wait for it to finally open. While it doesn’t officially open to the public until April 6th, we got a sneak peek today and let me just say it’s a lot of fun!
The new LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is located right inside the Plymouth Meeting Mall and only a short drive from us here in New Jersey. There is plenty of parking outside the entrance to the mall where it’s located. Once inside, the LEGO-mania begins!
You stop for a quick picture then board the Imagination Express train ride right to the middle of LEGOLAND®. Once you disembark the train your left right in the middle of all the action!
There are 10 fun filled LEGO-themed play areas including:
- Lego Races Build and Test
- MINILAND® Philadelphia
- LEGO® 4D Cinema where your favorite LEGO stars come to life in 4D!
- Imagination Express
- Build Challenge Circle
- LEGO Creative Workshop
- Pirate Adventure Island
- Earthquake Tables
- Duplo® Park
- Ninjago Training Camp
Both of the kids had a lot of fun. While Ry spent time at the LEGO Creative Workshop, Evie had a blast over at the slide in Duplo® Park.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
Tickets start at $19 (if purchased online) and special tickets can run you up to $34. A season pass is only $54 pp and pays for itself after 3 visits. If you plan on going a lot, the season pass is definitely worth it!
Special events all held year round and they’re so popular, it’s recommend to book tickets in advance.
OPERATING HOURS
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center is open Monday – Saturday from 10am – 7:30 pm (last entry is 5:30 pm) and Sunday 10 am – 6pm (last entry 4pm)
WHERE TO EAT
After a few hours of playing, everyone is bound to get hungry. Sure you’re at the mall and there are plenty of places to eat but why leave when you eat right at LEGOLAND! They have a great little area with tables to sit down and take a little break between playing. They have plenty of food choices and I thought the kids meals in the little Lego Brick boxes were too cute!
Each kids meal comes with your choice of Lego Brick colors, kids sandwich, kids drink and dessert for $12.
