It’s hard to believe it’s already the end of the year. I say it all the time but this year really flew by. I’m excited to say goodbye to 2016 and can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring. We’ll be ushering out the old and welcoming in the new with our annual New Years Eve party and we all know no party is complete without some delicious treats. When we were in Hershey, PA last week we spent plenty of time at Hershey’s Chocolate World and we made sure to stock up on plenty of delicious chocolate to enjoy once we were back home.
When I saw these jumbo Hershey Kisses, I knew they’d be the perfect “midnight kiss” treat for our party. The party platter was super easy to make and can hold these or any other delicious treat you want.
I set out the large Hershey Kisses for the adults and regular Hershey Kisses for the kids so everyone had a special midnight kiss.
To make the platter I purchased an inexpensive clock and a round clear glass plate.
Since my New Year’s Eve party color palette is always gold, silver and black I decided to trim the platter with a bit of gold glitter for a sparkly touch.
On the bottom half of the clock, I applied some Mod Podge and sprinkled the glitter on. I did two coats and once they were dry, I sealed it with another layer of Mod Podge. Once it dried I glued the glass plate onto the top of the clock.
I love how the party platter came out and it was the perfect centerpiece for our dessert table.
There were so many delicious treats I picked up at Hershey’s Chocolate World that would have worked for my dessert theme but the Hershey Kisses were the perfect touch for a sweet, midnight kiss.
Do you host a New Year’s Eve Party or do you go out and celebrate?

What and adorable party theme! I'd come to any soiree where I'd be guaranteed Hershey's Kisses. Haha!
