I’m always looking for ways to stretch my grocery shopping budget. So creating
budget friendly meals that are tasty and delicious but are also simple dinners are a priority for me. Thankfully Walmart has some great Kraft products on rollback that help me save money on my grocery budget that I can use for other things for my family. With summer vacation in full swing, we love to get out and do things during the day like going to the movies or the beach. Saving money on groceries allows us to do other fun things without going over our budget.
I picked up everything I needed for these BBQ Meatball Sliders at Walmart for under $20 since almost everything I bought was on rollback! Score for me!
I wanted to make mozzarella cheese stuffed meatballs for the sliders so I picked up some Velveeta Mozzarella Shreds to make stuffing them easy. To make my meatballs extra moist and delicious I added a little Kraft Real Mayo to the mix and they were delicious! My husband said they were the best meatballs he’s ever eaten!
To make the meatballs combine 1lb. of ground beef with 1 tablespoon of Kraft Mayo, a dash of worcestershire sauce and 1/4 cup of Panko Breadcrumbs. Mix well.
I used a cookie scoop to scoop out the perfect meatball. I pressed a little of Velveeta Shreds Mozzarella into the center and topped with a little more meat. Then I rolled it into a nice ball.
One pound of meat made 15 nice size meatballs. The great thing about this recipe was that we had enough for dinner and lunch the next day! Two meals for about $17?! That’s a win for me. Dinners like this come in handy especially around the 1st & 15th of the month things can be a little tight.
Once all the meatballs are rolled, brown them for a few minutes on each side.
Add the Kraft Thick & Spicy Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce to the pan and cook until meatballs are no longer pink.
Serve on small dinner or slider rolls topped with a piece of Kraft Naturals Provolone slices.
We of course needed a side to go with our sliders and I’m a sucker for Kraft Velveeta Shells and Cheese. This is my favorite mac and cheese and reminds me of when I was little and my grandparents would make this for lunch for me. We never seemed to have it at our house but my grandparents always did and I couldn’t wait for them to make it for me. It’s still a favorite to this day and the perfect side for these sliders.
