Simple Berry Smoothie Bowl Recipe
This is a sponsored post with Sandwich Bros.
We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and for years breakfast has been one of the easiest meals to plan for. The standard waffles, pancakes, cereal worked well for years but now that I have a tween in the house breakfast has turned into a I want to eat everything in sight meal. Tween/teen boys can eat and they can eat all day long. To help keep him fuller, longer I’ve started making him smoothies or smoothie bowls like this Berry Smoothie Bowl to go along with his breakfast. He’s getting plenty of fruits and veggies in the smoothie bowl and it pairs perfectly with these protein packed Sandwich Bros. Sausage and Cheese sandwiches which he loves.
Now he’s not snacking all morning long and even if he does get hungry, he can simply grab another Sandwich Bros. (pronounced Bros not Brothers) Sausage and Cheese sandwich from the freezer, heat it up and he’s got a healthy snack to hold him over until lunch. They’re the perfect size for snacks and light meals.
In fact, we all love them. The Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin® protein-packed sandwiches are handcrafted with fresh packed flatbread pockets, premium ingredients like whole eggs, Jones® all natural sausage, 100% Angus beef, chicken and real American cheese. Sandwich Bros. uses local, Wisconsin meats and cheese. I can’t keep the cheeseburger ones stocked in my freezer.
My husband and son snack on them just about every day usually leaving none for me when I want one!
This breakfast is also perfect for busy mornings! The Sandwich Bros. heat up in about 40 seconds in the microwave and the smoothie takes about 5 minutes to make. So it’s possible to have a delicious and protein packed breakfast on the table in minutes. That’s important since we all know how precious every minute is on a school day!
Since this smoothie bowl uses frozen fruit, I like to make portion sized bags and keep them in the freezer so I can just grab one, toss in in the blender. The frozen fruit makes the smoothie thicker for the smoothie bowl versus drinking it from a glass. It’s really that easy. I make them in all different flavor combinations. This one was strawberries, a banana and blueberries. One cup of each frozen in a sandwich bag until ready to use. Super simple!
You can even top it with your favorite toppings. I kept it simple with a little granola and some fresh strawberries and blueberries. It’s so easy to make and if I’m having a busy morning with the baby or I’m traveling, he can make his own breakfast in minutes.
If you’re looking for an yummy and delicious snack anytime of the day, then look no further than this Sandwich Bros. Sausage and Cheese sandwich and pair them with your own smoothie bowl combination.

This looks like a yummy breakfast. I don’t normally eat breakfast, but I could do a smoothie bowl with my coffee. Thanks for the recipe.
I love smoothie bowls! This sandwich pairing looks incredible!
OHHH! This looks so good! Berries for breakfast in a smoothing sounds like a delicious option, I’m going to have to try this.
This looks like an amazing breakfast to start the day! I try to send my kids off to school with a good and healthy breakfast. This is a great idea!
That looks so enjoyable and tasty. I always hear people talking about smoothie bowls. Ironically, I used to use smooth juices as my milk for cereal, because I hate milk. Seems very similar to that. I will try it someday.
Oh man, if I had had something that delicious this morning for breakfast I’d probably be feeling a lot better right now. I haven’t tried a smoothie bowl before but that looks so good!
Oh this looks really yummy! I’ve never tried a smoothie bowl before. Sounds like a great summer treat.
This was delicious! I have one question. Do you blend the banana or slice it for garnish. It seems to be omitted from the directions.
