For this recipe, the sauce is probably one of my favorite parts of this dish. It’s simple to make and only requires a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. Fresh garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, honey and some soy sauce.
The first step is cooking the in some butter and season with salt and pepper.
Then it’s time to create the delectable sauce. This is really my of my favorite sauces and it’s always a hit!
In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, olive oil and garlic and whisk together. Pour the sauce over chicken and cook until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
Serve over rice and with your favorite veggies for a delicious dinner any night of the week.

Oh, my word this looks so good. I will be right over for lunch. I also know my son would devour this is no time.
It was SO good! Even my picky eater loved it!
This recipe looks delicious! And easy to make is perfect for weeknight dinners!
This looks amazing and super easy plus not too many dishes!
Ooh, that looks delicious! I love honey and garlic, and that chicken looks so juicy. That would be a great idea for dinner tonight!
This looks sooooo good. I am at the very last leg of my Whole30(which doesn’t allow honey) but I will definitely be making this when I can. It sounds right up my alley
Oh I am always looking for new chicken recipes! I am adding this to my meal plan this week!
This looks so tasty! I cannot believe it’s so simple. What a great time saver!
Such a great combination perfect dinner and so much fun. Who doesn’t like chicken! And then garlicky and sweet yummy!
The easier the better as far as I’m concerned. I love how Perdue has made things easier for us with Fresh Cuts!
SO trying this for dinner tonight! It looks amazing and sounds super delicious. Perdue is actually one of the only brands of chicken that I will buy for my family because it always tastes great and there are no added antibiotics or crazy hormones.
My whole family would just gobble this up! I did not know about the Perdue Fresh Cuts. This would save so much time when I am rushed getting dinner on the table.
Hi! I am not able to get package you have listed, but I have chicken tenders that I can dice up. How many do you think I would need to replace what you used? I want to try this tonight, I think the family would enjoy this. Thanks!
Hi! I would say 5-6 depending on their size. I typically use 1 lb. of chicken whenever I make this recipe. And I use whatever I have on hand. Either a whole breast, thin sliced breast or tender and just dice them. Hope that helps and you enjoy the recipe! – Dawn
Hey! My husband doesn’t like lemons very much is the juice very noticeable in this recipe?
Hi! Good question! I made this for dinner last night just so I could answer your question (minus the soy sauce because we’re out). I would say that it only has a slight hint of lemon flavor. I love lemon but I didn’t notice it like I do lime in my Cilantro Lime Chicken. So I asked everyone in the family. My teen couldn’t taste the lemon and although I asked my husband and he said yes, it was more because of the sweet taste than the lemon. My daughter just said all she can taste is “yummy” but she’s 5. 😉 Hope that helps!! If you make it, let me know what you think. .
Was super oily. I followed the exact recipe, it tasted good but I had to remove a lot of oil. It was practically swimming in oil. Otherwise it tasted great and didn’t take long. I recommend adding onions, broccoli and green beans!
I just made this and it was a hit. I served it with broccoli and rice. So Easy and super simple to make with a little infant and toddler. Meals have to be made easy nowadays. Thank you for this recipe!
This was really good, but I would use less lemon juice next time.
Just made it last night, so tasty and quick to make. I didn’t see flour or cornstarch, so worried that it wouldn’t thicken enough, but surprise, perfect!! Will be adding this to my “quick meals” night recipe box. Thank you!
@Kimmie, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Quick meals are my specialty and you’ll find plenty of those around here! You should try the Garlic Butter Chicken it’s another quick favorite and it’s SO good! -Dawn
A delicious, quick meal! Mine did not brown like yours did but the taste was amazing! Thank you, it will be in our regular rotation.
So easy and quite tasty!
Hi there! Planning on making this tonight but totally out of lemon. I have oranges. Would that make it taste too much like orange chicken lol thanks
Hi! I’ve never tried it with an orange but I don’t think it will be bad. I’d probably try it with about half of the amount. Maybe 2-3 tablespoons. If you make it, let me know how it turns out! 🙂
Amazing! I did make a marinade of soy sauce honey garlic and lemon as listed and marinated for an hour before and after that followed the directions. I served with lemon cilantro garlic rice. Delicious and will make again. I might try on grill after marinating longer next time. Thanks
This is soooo good and sooo easy. Also super clean! My picky eaters loved it and it gave way to make chicken cause we were running out of ideas! I use chicken breast and chopped it in cubes and used the 8 garlic clover worth it. The only thing was my sauce wouldn’t thicken and I didn’t want to over cook the chicken so I pulled the chicken out and added a spoon of tapioca flour to the sauce and it came out perfect!
Thank you for sharing!
The flavor of this dish is amazing. I looked at a few different recipes before deciding on this one. A lot of the others didn’t have lemon juice. I think the fresh lemon was perfect. Everyone in my family loved it. I doubled the recipe but only did 9 garlic cloves because they were huge. I also gave my chicken a light toss in some cornstarch before frying. Amazing. Will definitely make again!!!
This was an amazing recipe. It taste so good. My kids loved it! I would recommend adding sesame seeds to give it a nice present and broccoli on the side.
